Free, hands-on training in Scratch, robotics, basic computer skills, and AI open to all youth, especially girls. Practical, project-based sessions that spark curiosity.
We visit underserved schools, training students and teachers in coding and robotics, delivering equipment, curriculum, and expertise to embed technology education into learning.
We cultivate young leaders mentoring peers as tech ambassadors. Graduates return as volunteers, teaching students and showing technology leadership is accessible to all.
CodeCompass Foundation was born from a simple but powerful idea: give every child access to technology education, regardless of their background. Our journey began in December 2023 at Our Lady of Africa Mbuya, a community where access to digital tools and structured technology education was limited. We saw a generation of young people with enormous potential but without the resources to develop it.
We launched our first programme, Girls in Robotics, offering completely free training to students in the Mbuya community. From the very beginning, our focus was on girls — not because boys were excluded, but because girls in Uganda face systemic barriers to entering STEM fields. We wanted to change that narrative, one classroom at a time.
Technology is not a privilege, it is a right. Every young person, regardless of gender, geography, or economic background, deserves the opportunity to learn, create, and innovate in the digital age.
Looking to spark creativity and curiosity in your child? Our Scratch coding workshops are the perfect starting point!

Learn web creation and deployment from beginner to advanced, growing your skills and portfolio at your own pace.
Learn the fundamentals of using a computer down to using software programs like microsoft office to create documentations
These young learners didn’t just attend classes, they created, built, and believed in their potential. Our inaugural holiday programme delivered real, measurable outcomes for the Mbuya community.
Beyond the numbers, the true impact lies in what these students built and believed. Learners worked on hands-on projects in coding and robotics, culminating in a community showcase where students presented their innovations to families, teachers, and local leaders. These young people didn’t just consume technology they became creators of it.
Young women equipped with coding, robotics, and digital skills through our free community programmes.
Inclusive programming that welcomes all learners while maintaining a focus on closing the gender gap in STEM.
Generously provided by MTN Foundation, enabling the establishment of a fully equipped computer lab.
A full, successful holiday programme completed with hands-on projects and a community showcase of student innovations.
